What did you do before you came to Keystone: Stayed home with my children and worked part time for a jewelry making company

Why do you like working here: I love the kiddos and the people I get to work with everyday.

Hobbies/pastimes: Reading and visiting friends and family

Something (personal or professional) you’re proud of: Raising four children into successful adults (3 out of 4), one is still in college

Education: BA Speech and Hearing Science, Certificate in Fundraising and Philanthropic Communications – University of Iowa, MA Philanthropic Studies – Indiana University

What did you do before you came to Keystone: I was a graduate student at Indiana University and interning for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Foundation at St. Vincent in Indianapolis

Why do you like working here: Keystone is such a diverse, unique, and welcoming community, I felt at home almost immediately.

Hobbies/pastimes: Try new recipes/cook, hike, read

Something (personal or professional) you’re proud of: Texas is the fifth state I have lived in (Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas) – having the opportunity to move around, experience other parts of the country, and have friends & mentors from across the United States is pretty amazing. At my wedding, we had friends and family from 27 different states!

Favorite/inspirational book: Certainly not inspirational, but "Dragons Love Tacos" is one of my favorite books of all time!

Favorite quote: Taken from my favorite movie (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it” – it reminds me to stop and take in little moments from each day

What did you do before you came to Keystone: Professional Opera Singer, Voice Teacher, Elementary Music Teacher in Lubbock, TX

Why do you like working here: Motivated and talented students and faculty

Hobbies/pastimes: I love singing and tending to our raised gardens.

Something (personal or professional) you’re proud of: First full time music teacher at Keystone School , and the progress of all of my students.

Favorite/inspirational book: (As of now) The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

Upper School Math & Computer Science Teacher Sean Lindsay

Position: US Math & Computer Science Teacher

Education: BS in Math from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (2005), MAED in Instructional Technology from UTSA (2017)

What did you do before you came to Keystone: I taught MS/HS math in a variety of places around the country (MD, WA, Alamo Heights, NC) as I moved with my wife who is an officer in the USAF.

Why do you like working here: I love the culture of Keystone. I get to work with incredibly bright and driven students and have the autonomy to adjust my curriculum to meet their passions.

Hobbies/pastimes: I am one of the captains of San Antonio’s competitive ultimate frisbee team. I also enjoy disc golf. I have a 3d printer, and enjoy designing things for that. I am an avid fantasy football player and a diehard Ravens fan. I also enjoy cooking fancy food and then eating said fancy food.

Something (personal or professional) you’re proud of: I am proud of finishing my Master’s. We had our son during that time, so it was difficult to have my time spread thin across work, family, and school. I ended up finishing with 4.0 GPA.

Favorite/inspirational book: "The Demon-Haunted World," by Carl Sagan
