Christopher Zhu '16 utilized two months of his summer in Japan to experience international healthcare.

He spent the first part of his summer rotating through the clinical laboratory and emergency medicine departments at Juntendo University in Tokyo, presenting patients, case studies, and participating in mock-ups alongside Japanese medical students. In the following month, he led an innovation workshop sponsored by the University of Tokyo in the southern prefecture of Miyazaki focused on the reversal of its rural depopulation crisis. He remains very excited about attending the UT Health San Antonio School of Medicine in late summer 2019!
