Tim was born in Vietnam and grew up in Northern California. He moved to San Antonio in 2004. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and obtained his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. He completed his residency training in emergency medicine in San Antonio at Lackland AFB/Brooke Army Medical Center. He served on active duty in the US Air Force for 7 years and has had multiple deployments stateside and overseas, including a special operations assignment in Afghanistan.
He held key leadership positions in the military and civilian sector, working on multiple committees to improve processes, budget goals, and staffing. An author of multiple publications, one of his proudest achievements is a departmental teaching award that was presented by his students and residents.
Tim is a partner with Complete Emergency Care, a freestanding emergency company with over 20 locations throughout Texas and Colorado. In addition to operational and management duties, he also maintains a clinical role as medical director. His other entrepreneurial pursuits involve residential and commercial real estate and most recently, a telecommunications construction company which he co-founded.
Tim and his wife Christina are the proud parents of two Keystone students, Emma and Mia. They are most grateful for the culture and community of Keystone and its staff, and hope to contribute to its mission of nurturing the minds, bodies, and spirits of its students.
